Founder Diaries: Wednesday, October 6th, 2021
Today was a less productive day — I am working on maximizing the busiest hours of the day, but still suffer energy dips throughout the day.
However… one exciting thing happened today. I hosted my first workshop for an Ace client, TalentQL! I decided to offer workshops as a way to provide value/content for our potential clients and currently, we are servicing one client. Sometimes I fear that we won’t have enough demand, but then I shake that fear because we can find ways to talk to our potential customers and this will come when we launch the product. The best way to curb fear is to take action and this has proven true each and every time; if any self-doubt or fear about the success of the company comes in, I find taking action and coming up with new ideas to tackle this problem in front of me is the best way to move forward.
As for my technical development, I find I am making strong progress after finding better resources and tutorials to help me out. My goal for the end of this week is to have a frame that has a working dynamic event inside it — I feel confident I can get there. On this note, I am quite proud of myself for learning to code this year and it is something I want to remember as an accomplishment of 2021. Having no previous coding knowledge, my cofounder pushed me to learn to better understand our product, learn a new skill, and help us launch the product vs. hiring someone and wasting our resources. It’s something I had a lot of self-doubt with at the beginning, but again, taking action and spending the time learning has shown me that you can accomplish anything you set your mind to.
That’s it for today — tomorrow I’m going to attempt a new style of diary entry that is almost like a Day Diary that documents what my day looked like. While it would be good for self-reflection on how I spent my day, I think it’ll also be interesting to look back on in a few months’ time to see what different time periods looked like for me.
Cheers!
